Job Summary: The Director of Surgical Training will lead the medical education department The Director will develop the vision, strategy and tactics to achieve superior clinical outcomes with our physician partners. The Director will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders including sales, engineering, quality, marketing, physicians, staff, and patients.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years as Manager or Director in medical device (Surgical Training, Sales Training, Prof Ed, Marketing and/or Sales Leadership)
- Strong clinical expertise and orthopedic/medical device training experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Digital /MS Office proficiency
Preferred:
- Clinical knowledge of Urologic or Neuromodulation procedures
- Understanding of adult learning principals and utilization of professional facilitation skills when training others (virtual/live)
- Current or previous experience with adult learning concepts and Instructional Design Principles
Responsibilities/Tasks
- Demonstrated peer-to-peer training with complex and disruptive technologies
- Training & education capability: demonstrate successful teaching and training events with physicians and hospital employees
- Maintain rigorous compliance with FDA and Regulatory and Quality expectations
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong ability to collaborate and partner with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong business acumen: excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to listen and understand the customer feedback and competently relay information, high emotional intelligence, leadership skills, on the spot troubleshooting, flexibility, motivation, and drive
- Ability to handle and correctly utilize products and technologies for the explicit purpose of providing hands on training to customers in a non-clinical environment
- Quality Assurance: demonstrated leader in positively impacting utilization of technology and proactive communication of both successes and challenges
- Significant travel required
- Weekend event support and / or travel will be required
